Surrelle’s Wall Hanging

This is an embroidery pattern from Sarah Jane Studios, I love how it turned out! I made it for Miss Surrelley, of course. The border is the same fabric I used for Arianna’s quilt so since they share a room it’ll coordinate a little. 🙂 I have another pattern, although the girl is different, that I’m working on for Kate, I’m THIS CLOSE to having it done.

Owl Shoes

My coworker is VERY close to having her baby. When I saw this pattern I had to make them.  Thankfully they’re pretty
quick!

MochiMochi

During a browsing session on pinterest, (do you love pinterest?  I sure do…) I came across a tiny knit chicken.  The pattern was from this book and was a free download here.  I made a run to the local yarn store (which isn’t all that local),  and about 30 minutes later had this cute little guy…

Isn’t he adorable?

This is my third Mod Times Quilt, I just love this pattern! I made this for a friend of mine at work expecting her first girl in the middle of March. Her nursery colors are pink, green and brown and this Monaluna fabric combined all of those really well.

Knit Your Own Dog English Bulldog – Midway

Well, his body and head are all sewn up now… looking less like a lobster! I can’t wait to finish this one, I have the other legs done, and need to do the tail and ears and sew on the eyes. I think I’m going to expand that white patch too to make it look more like my friend’s dog. This was challenging just because I was guessing at a few of the instructions, but overall I think I guess right! I hope so!

Knit Your Own Dog – The beginning

Via Flickr:
So a friend of mine is having a baby, and has an english bulldog that she adores. She found a knitted bulldog and wanted it, and when she found out I could knit, asked if I’d make it. 🙂 Of course! The pattern was free (www.canadianliving.com/crafts/knitting/knitting_pattern_h…) and after reading the comments I was a little scared. Especially when looking up the book on amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Knit-Your-Own-Easy—Follow/dp/1579128742/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325628797&sr=8-1) and seeing THOSE comments. Someone commented that it looks like a lobster and how on earth would it turn into a bulldog? Alas, mine looks like a lobster too, I must be on the right track right???

Kate’s Robe

Robe from Made by auburn2001grad
Robe from Made, a photo by auburn2001grad on Flickr.

I made this robe from a pattern from Made: http://www.dana-made-it.com/2011/06/beach-robe-pattern-is-here.html.

Incredibly well written and easy-ish to put together. The coolest thing though is you can make it out of a beach towel, so when I saw this patterned one at TJMaxx I snatched it up and went to work. The binding was tricky, but overall I think it turned out ok. And Kate likes it. 🙂 I plan on using it at the waterpark this summer. 🙂

Birdie Block of the Month – December

I’m not sure if this one is finished or not. I think the tree needs some lights. It took me a while to embroider this one though, and 2011 is over! I was eager to finish it up. Now off to the quilt top…

Birdie Block of the Month – November

This is my November block. The original had a birdie looking at a Turkey, and I thought, well, let’s just make a turkey. 🙂 I almost added a little top hat. 🙂

October Birdie Block of the Month

This is my October Birdie Block of the month. I changed the moon a little, I wanted something full and batty. I love this one though, this may be my favorite.
